God’s Prince of Peace came as
a babe
the Son of God on high
incarnate in the flesh of man
our Lord was born that night
____
conceived by the Holy Spirit
within a virgin’s womb
was sinless throughout His life
unto the sacred tomb
____
for God so loved the world He gave
the best gift that He had
His only Son His only Son
how glorious and yet sad
____
because the blood for which He shed
was meant for you and me
to take away the sins we bore
for all eternity
____
and the peace that comes afterward
shall dwell within one’s heart
from grace which saves redeeming grace
cannot explain in part
____
how wonderful is the feeling
to have this Prince reside
deep within the inner man
His Spirit is inside
____
and where the God of comfort dwells
therein remains His peace
as long as one obeys His word
the blessings never cease
